Dear______________,
In reviewing the latest membership roster from NARFE Headquarters, I was surprised to see your name listed as receiving a second dues notice. Sometimes we find that checks have crossed in the mail, and I would be happy to check with our National Office to determine what exactly has happened. Please let me know if this is the case.
To make it easier to maintain your membership, why not consider automatic dues withholding?
You might want to take advantage of a $10 rebate program offered by the Federation just for signing up for Dues Withholding. One twelfth of your annual total dues would automatically be deducted from your annuity each month, plus you will never miss an issue of “NARFE”, the magazine which keeps you well informed of the latest threats to our benefits and what NARFE is doing about those threats. Further, by going on dues withholding, instead of paying $40.00 national dues, you only pay $34.00, which is a savings of $6.00 each year. As a result your monthly deduction would be $ ____. A dues withholding form is enclosed for you to complete, sign and return to me to receive the $10 rebate.
Federal employees and retirees must press for legislation to improve and protect our retirement security. Our chapter is your link to the national organization and a means of securing your retirement benefits while providing a source of up-to-date information on issues of interest to you.
Your continued membership is important for NARFE to succeed. The strength of our numbers equates to the influence we have over legislation important to the federal community.
A self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed for your convenience.
Sincerely,
Name,
Membership Chair
