NARFE Members of California:
STATE CONVENTION - SACRAMENTO - WOW! It's less than 6
weeks till we celebrate our 54th Annual State Convention in Sacramento. As you
know the Convention will be held at the Radisson Hotel, 500 Leisure Lane,
Sacramento, June 10 - 12, 2003. However, if you arrive a day early, your Host
Convention Committee has arranged a visit to the State Capitol on June 9 between
10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Shuttles will take you to and from the Capitol for $5.00 per
person.
For advance information, here are the highlights of the convention:
June 10 (Tuesday)
9:30 - 11:00 am - Newsletter Editor Seminar by Robert Davidson,
District I Vice President.
9:00 am - 5:00 pm - NARFE-NET Computer Work Station - Don Ross,

12:00 Noon - Convention in Session
Welcome by Convention Host Committee Chair, Phyllis Johnson, Sunrise

Welcome by several State and Local Dignitaries
Keynote Address by NARFE National Secretary, David Sullivan
State of the Federation Address by Federation President Lea Zajac
3:30 pm - Open Forum featuring a panel of National Officers, National
Staff, and Federation Officers, wherein attendees may ask any questions
related to NARFE, National Legislation or State Legislation
5:30 pm - General Session Recess
5:30 - 7:00 pm - Online Basics & Computer Applications Seminar by Don
